Dramatic Minds Festival

term 4 2022

Last week some of our senior students headed to the Dramatic Minds Festival in Temora where they entered their artworks that were inspired by the topic of mental health. All of our students' entries were incredible and we are proud of them all; a big congratulations to Tahlia, Year 9, who won 1st prize in the art category for her painting, and to Skylah, Jasmine, Ned and Christine for their film that won 'Best in Show'!

"Wagga Wagga Christian College strives to keep an encouraging and supportive community and gratitude is a big part of our positive school attitude. This film was made as a way to encourage people to talk, to verbally be thankful. As it can be hard sometimes to express feelings and show gratitude because it can involve becoming vulnerable and opening up. Although it is a healthy practice people of all ages struggle to open up and show themselves so we decided to encourage opening up and showing gratitude.

Thank you Mr McLean for organising this and helping students and thank you to Mrs Martinez for filming and directing."
