Class 3T are exploring the properties of many different materials in their Science classes this term. This week, the wool off the sheep's back courtesy of the Bergmeier family, was under the microscope. Students had to perform a series of tests on this natural material including, investigating it's strength, stretch, insulating properties and it's resistance to water. Working independently in small groups the students expanded their understanding of why sheep don't need umbrellas! "The water just sits on top of the wool." exclaimed Beau.
