Science is flying high with Questacon Visit

Week 2, Term 2, 2022

On Wednesday, we had the privilege of having the Questacon Science Circus come and teach our Year K-6 students the FUNdamentals of Science!

The students learnt about sound, vibrations (a wiggle of time and space) and frequencies, through an exploration of music. Students witnessed simple but effective experiments such as blowing through a straw (how does the sound change as the length of the straw gets shorter?) and a glove trombone! Students also looked at flight, exploring actions and reactions and discovering how the addition of a propellor causes an unexpected reaction.

But one of the most important things that Questacon taught the students was if you want to do something well you need to focus on one thing at a time!
