Week 8 term 1, 2024
Year 1 had an exciting visit to the College Ag Plot last week! Recent class discussions revolving around chicks, chickens, and roosters, as well as students sharing their own experiences of raising chicks at home, has caught their interest. Due to this fascination and to allow for creativity in their writing skills, the students met with Agriculture teacher, Mr Simon Harrison who gave them the opportunity to observe the chickens, chicks, and incubator eggs, and answer any questions the children had. Year 1 were definitely thrilled to hold the baby chicks and watch the incubator move at the end of their little excursion.
