On Friday, Mrs Amanda Martinez, Senior Art Teacher, and her Year 12 Visual Arts students had the pleasure of attending The Curious Rabbit to meet and learn from two local artists, Brittany Hefren (College past student, Class of 2017) and Georgia Crowden (both a part of the Nest Studio Collective Group currently on exhibition at Rabbits).
Our students were able to discuss the art opportunities open to them and were inspired by Brittany’s involvement in the Nest Collective Studio as well as her role as the Communications & Engagement Officer at Eastern Riverina Arts. Students also had the opportunity to show and discuss their own completed Body of Works.
Year 12 student, Liana commented, “These visits have extended our knowledge of the art world. I have been able to develop my own Body of Work by talking to local artists in this space.” Fellow student Indi added, “Being involved in our local art community has been so helpful and inspiring.”
A huge thank you to Vickie Burkinshaw, owner of The Curious Rabbit, for continuously making space and opportunities for our students to grow, share and be inspired.
