term 2 week 6, 2023 1D released their creative flair when learning about French Artist Henri Matisse. Henri Matisse created exceptional pieces of art using only a pair of scissors! Children learnt about contrast, colour and how to cut paper to create an artwork inspired by Matisse after reading the book Henri's Scissors by Jeanette Winter. The final step in completing their artwork involved collaging the carefully cut paper and deciding on careful placement.
