Agriculture Students hear the latest from Gallagher
Senior Agricultural students had the privilege of a guest speaker from Gallagher Australia talk about the last technology in agriculture.

Term 4, 2021 Senior Agricultural students had the privilege of hearing guest speaker Trent Martin, Territory Manager for Gallagher Australia, speak about the Gallagher company and the latest technological developments in the industry. Having had experience using Gallagher technology at the College ag plot, the seminar was an opportunity for students to further explore the development and use of technology in the field of agriculture. Gallagher Innovations is a family owned business that is at the forefront of technology in the Australian Agriculture industry. Mr Martin shared with the students about the various technologies that are available to farmers to assist them in improving and enhancing productivity in farming systems. Senior Agricultural students have recently been learning about the adoption of technologies and the research and development that goes into technological development in their class studies. Amongst other topics Mr Martin introduced students to the eShepherd, a GPS virtual fence which can revolutionise controlling and monitoring livestock.
