The perfect brew! Year 7 to 11 students had the opportunity to learn this wonderful (and useful) skill.
30 July 2021 The perfect brew! What a wonderful (and useful) skill to develop. As future employees, or just to provide enjoyment for others, today students from Year 7 to 11 had the opportunity to learn the craft of making a great espresso. The White Dove Cafe training was in full swing with new and current cafe members under the direction of Mrs Emily Deighton learning new skills and discovering some tricks of the trade. Students had hands on experience tamping, using group handles and baskets as well as growing their understanding of the different types of grinds and the impact a coarse or fine grind can have on the final espresso shot. Next time you get a weak cappuccino you will know that the grinds were too coarse.
