Class of 2021 finish well
The Friday of Term 3, Week 10 was packed full of memorable moments with highlights being the ongoing battles between Year 11 and Year 12.
Friday 17 September 2021 Term 3 ended with great celebration, students feeling so blessed to be back onsite after weeks of home learning. For Year 12 2021 it was extra special. They were gifted with the traditional final day celebrations 'a la COVID'. The Friday of Term 3, Week 10 was packed full of memorable moments with highlights being the ongoing battles between Year 11 and Year 12 in a series of momentous struggles, including a farm relay, tunnel ball and a flat pack construction challenge! It all started with breakfast . . . The traditional guard of honour went from the Junior School to the MPC! Art class featured . . . The Art Room with Mrs Martinez has been a favourite of Class of 2021, not just during Art lessons, but as a great place to hang out at recess, lunch and any other break time! The first lesson of the day included some messy paint work! The first of a number of challenges through today was fought out on the Senior Basketball court with Year 7 and 8 watching on. 'The Flat Pack Challenge' was on, with the two teams needing to work together to create a stool. Time penalties for improper use of safety glasses and working on the ground, instruction manuals in Japanese ("Does anyone in Year 11 speak Japanese?"), overcoming hurdles such as working with hand tools only gave Year 12 some advantage. Both teams had their final product tested and both finished stools stood up to being used. Well done Year 12 and Year 11! The culmination of the Year 11 vs 12 challenges . . . The Daily Advertiser was there to catch some of the action.
