Interschool Auctioneering Final
Students participated in the Final of the Interschool Auctioneering Competition today, but this time via camera.

Term 4, 2021 Following on from outstanding results in the first Heat of the 2021 Interschool Auctioneering competition, three students, Tom, Ned and Bianca participated in the Final of the competition for the year. With changes to the competition structure required, students were today filmed as they auctioned two White Suffolk lambs, weighing about 43 kgs after being dropped in July 2021. While missing the intense competition which is a part of any interschool event, students were still thrilled to be able to complete the competition after so many unknowns this year. "I am really pleased for these students. They have worked really hard on practising their auctioneering skills - not an easy skill to master. It is great to see them do their best in front of their peers and the camera today. We expect to hear the results of the competition in a few weeks time." said Mrs Belinda Everingham, Head of Agriculture. The team have the privilege of being coached by one of the nation's most respected auctioneers, Mr Joe Wilks of Wilks & McKean Livestock and Property. The bidders today, fellow students, secured themselves some excellent stock as the ewes were sold for up to $230 a head!
