term 2 Week 7, 2023 Last week, Year 9/10 students were delighted to have visiting artist Megan Cameron join their Visual Arts class. Megan presented a collection of her work and ran an engaging drawing tutorial with students where they learned how to draw a realistic dog using graphite. Megan’s visit was a demonstration of her incredible talent in which she taught and inspired the students. She infused the room with her passion for art, captivating students with her skills and experience. Through sharing her creative process and skills, Megan celebrated art as a powerful tool for storytelling and self-expression as well as an important career choice. She was impressed by the talent and creativity of the students, and stated, “I love seeing their confidence building, especially those students who believed they couldn’t draw previously.” A big thank you to Megan for her continued support of our students in developing their skills and confidence in visual arts.
