Science and Geography come Alive!

Term 4, 2021 As a continuation of Year 2's learning in the classroom students and teachers explored the Botanic Gardens last week. The student's studies are currently focussing on living things in their Science modules and the built and natural environments for Geography. But it wasn't all hard work - riding trains and eating ice-creams featured highly in the day! Student Reflections from 1MB I liked the trains because we got to lots of plants like trees and grass. There was also a really big dip! Caleb P We got ice cream and we got different flavours. I chose cookies and cream and it was yummy! Jeremiah My favourite flavour of ice cream was caramel swirl because it had caramel balls in it! Max We got to feed the goat. The goat had huge horns. We fed him leaves and grass. We also got to play on the playground! Tongbor We walked through the rainforest. We saw lots and plants and it was a bit dark in there! Oskar We went to the pond and we saw hundreds of tadpoles. They were like black little worms with a big heads. Tongbor and Jock When we went on the train there was a really big, black tunnel. We all screamed every time we went through! Dee Dee When we went through the rainforest there were steps, and we could see some water. In the water, there were animals like tadpoles and maybe turtles. Darcie and Bella When we went on the train, we went around two stations, one was called ‘Museum station’ and the other one was called ‘Choo Choo wetlands’. Max When we went on the playground, Mrs. Webb was playing on the see saw! Charlie Student Reflections from 1J I went on the train and the flying fox. I loved my rainbow ice cream. Xander Johnson We could make lots of noises in the tunnels, and the train was noisy too. Chloe B The big slide was fast, and I landed on the ledge. Zorayn I love the tunnels, and I screamed! Hugo My favourite thing is the train. It is blue and it was as tiny as my baby sister standing. Lyndsey
