Science Week 2021 recap
During Science Week we can discover the amazing world God has created. Let's do that together!
16-20 August 2021 One of my favourite times of the year (next to Christmas and Easter) is Science Week! The reason for this is because through science we can discover the amazing world God has created. He is the greatest scientist of all! And during Science Week I have the opportunity of sharing this with everybody at school. So it was a bit disappointing when we went into lockdown right before Science Week. We were supposed to have an awesome science day with demonstrations and hands-on science stations like the last two years, but because that wasn’t possible I thought a few videos with some fun science would be just as good. And with a theme “Food - Different by Design” it couldn’t be better to do this at home. Now we could actually make food and learn science while doing so. So all the experiments we did we could do from home in the kitchen with stuff you can find in your pantry and get from the grocery shop. April and Riley were very excited to help me with the videos and I think that helped other kids relate to it more as well. We had lots of fun making the videos and what is better than having fun and learning at the same time! Marjanna Duggan Laboratory Assistant. Check out the videos from Science Week. Remember, safety first when doing experiments, especially at home. Always listen carefully to the instructions in the video and work with Mum, Dad or a responsible carer to ensure you keep yourself and your siblings safe.
