Term 1 2023 Everyone wants to be a secret agent. Year 8 TAS students have spent Term 1 sewing a bag of their choice with a secret compartment. The learning curve was high for the majority of the class, learning sewing and coding for the first time. Micro:bits were used to create a magnetic field which when disturbed alerts the owner that the bag has been opened. Students designed their own bags, sourced material, learnt both machine and hand stitching as well as coding a BBC Micro: bit. The variety of bags across the class was great to see and now students can do their own hemming on their school uniforms! Thank you Mrs Deighton!
