Stage 4 Art

Term 3 Learning At Home Inspiration is a wonderful thing! During this period of learning at home Art Teacher, Mrs Martinez, has been inspiring her talented Middle School students in their artistic endeavours. Last week the students received a movie which featured their artworks interspersed with words of wisdom from artists and words of encouragement from teachers. Sometime a change of perspective and some spare time is what you need to get the creative juices flowing. Keep up the good work Stage 4! On the last Friday of Term 2 Middle School Art students were able to enjoy seeing their artwork displayed across the boards and easels in the TLA Foyer. Year 7 had completed an art piece which reimagined a fairy tale story while Year 8 worked on a Pop Art piece. The creativity, colour and skill employed by the students is inspiring. Lachlan in Year 7 retold the Three Little Pigs story in a stop-go lego animation, where the 'pigs' worked with a bobcat to knock the house down. "It took a long time to get this completed," said Lachlan, "I had done a few stop go animations previously but nothing so complicated. This was definitely the longest one I have done." Preschool were able to enjoy a trip to the 'Art Gallery' on their final day of the term.
