Year 6 Celebrate in Style

Tuesday 23 November, 2021 Reaching the mid point in their education Year 6 students donned dresses and jackets, dusted themselves off and styled their hair, ready for a special dinner together at Wagga's Basil and Olive Restaurant. There was much excitement and anticipation which bubbled over as students started to arrive. Squeals of delight from the girls as they appreciated the care each one had taken on their choice of outfit and for the boys a more subdued excitement. Gathering around one large table the night started with grace with Mr Wilson and continued with much chatter and enjoyment as pizzas and chips were consumed. Group and class photos were taken as momentos. Parents had the opportunity to join together for their own meal in the main restaurant - removed physically from the fun in the Function Room but still conscious of the crescendo of noise which periodically spilt from the adjacent room. The evening was a wonderful opportunity for the students and teachers to celebrate a milestone in their education and for parents to have the opportunity to meet again after the disruptions of 2021. Thank you to the teachers and staff in the planning and support of the evening. We could see from the smiles and excitement what it meant to the students.
