rea expo

term 2 Week 7, 2023

The national success of the College STEM teams over many consecutive years was celebrated last week at an industry and family STEM Expo. Student teams welcomed past and future sponsors to the College, enjoying the opportunity to demonstrate and explain the journey our Secondary STEM students undertake in the REA Foundation Competitions – SUBS in Schools and F1 in Schools. Presentations were made to attending sponsors and the 2023 student teams introduced themselves, their roles and their branding, while Mr David Crick, Head of TAS, gave an overview of the competitions and the benefits of being involved either as a student or a business. “The students are outstanding, they put so much work into these competitions and most importantly learn not only technical skills but learn to work together and present themselves and their teams in a professional manner to businesses, mentors and an interested audience” commented Mr David Crick. Massive thanks to the student led White Dove Café who treated families and visitors to a very tasty grazing supper. Thank you also to everyone involved in organizing and attending the STEM Expo, we look forward to watching the growth and development of the 2023 STEM teams in both the SUBS in Schools and F1 in Schools competitions. If you would like to know more about these competitions, regarding student participation or sponsorship and mentorship opportunities, please contact Mr David Crick through the College Office.
