Todd Woodbridge in Sydney

November 2023

Seventeen schools from across NSW were represented at the Todd Woodbridge State Finals in Sydney on Monday and WWCC was there in the thick of it. Congratulations to the eight Primary School students who represented the Riverina with some outstanding tennis. The day started with an opportunity to meet Casey Dellacqua, an Australian former professional tennis player and current commentator, who encouraged the students with her story of how she got into tennis as a young person. Fired up, WWCC played some marvelous games missing out on a place in the semi finals by just two points. It has been wonderful watching the growth in the students’ love of the game and how they have grown their skills as they have practised towards this goal. Well done students and thank you to Mrs Vanessa Vidler for her enthusiasm and encouragement.
