Our students went on a journey filled with amazing sights, walks, rides, meaningful discussions, and moments of deep reflection on their Katoomba excursion.
During their visit to the Sydney Jewish Museum, students had the privilege of listening to local volunteer Yvonne's extraordinary story. She shared her harrowing experiences in Auschwitz and the death marches during the closing days of World War 2. Yvonne's message of love, honour, and respect despite the immense challenges she faced during her youth was inspiring and timely. Mrs Smedley also shared her compelling personal story and surprised each student with a handmade gift.
This camp gives our Year 11 students the opportunity to participate in team building and develop meaningful relationships with their peers as they head into their HSC year together; these moments of connection and inspiration are what make it truly special.
