Parents and students enjoyed two short concerts a couple of weeks ago, hearing from the Year 5/6 Band and ensembles, and the Year 4 ensembles. All sorts of pieces were performed to demonstrate some of the learning that has taken place during the year. A highlight was the combined Year 5 and 6 bands who performed Power Rock together. The teachers of the smaller ensembles (brass, saxophone, clarinet, flute and strings) were able to explain some of the techniques and skills students have been developing. Thank you to the teachers and students for preparing the performances, and to the parents who were able to cheer them on. Keep encouraging your children to do regular practice as this makes a huge difference to their progress and success.
