term 1 2023 This term, students have continued their excursions to The Curious Rabbit to gain inspiration and feedback. We know and have experienced this art gallery & café to be a beautiful creative hub that celebrates local artists and offers a welcoming sanctuary for all. Students have described the environment to be heart nurturing and mind-calming and so we continue to enjoy our visits with the opportunity to network & have important conversations. The newest addition to the space allowed students to play some musical pieces on the piano, adding to the creative tones of the space. In their first excursion for this semester, Year 12 students were able to talk with owner Vickie Burkinshaw about their own Body of Works, their stories and art concepts. Students were able to see the latest exhibition which celebrates a variety of artists as part of the upcoming art auction/fundraiser for ‘Friends of the Gallery’ which aims to raise money for fostering & promoting local art & artists.
