Week 5 Term 1, 2024
The end of last week saw a few of our students head to Sydney to participate in the CSSA Hockey Gala Day. This year Hamish Gomersall was invited to play with the Parkes Christian School’s hockey team. The Gala Day involved 8 teams, Hamish’s team won three games, and tied one game taking them to the finals against Illawarra Christian School, to which they lost, meaning they still got 2nd place!
Honourable mention goes to the Wark sisters, Maggie and Stella, who played in one of the two ‘barbarian’ teams. Unfortunately due to ‘barbarian’ teams being made up of incomplete teams, Stella and Maggie’s team weren’t allowed to make it to the finals, but they still did a great job winning three of their games!
